Canadian Pile Driving Equipment, Inc., now Junttan Canada, Inc.

Well- and widely known company in the Canadian foundation industry, Canadian Pile Driving Equipment, Inc. (CPDE), became Junttan Canada, Inc., on Jan. 1, 2022. Junttan Oy acquired CPDE in the spring of 2020. Before that, CPDE was Junttan’s authorized Canadian distributor since 2007.

The legacy of CPDE continues with the new name, while everything else remains the same. “The name change was a natural move for us in Canada, and we are extremely proud to have such a great and dedicated Junttan team to provide the best service in the industry to our Canadian customers,” said Miika Eskelinen, VP, Junttan Oy.

Junttan Canada has two locations: main offices and workshop in Lacombe, Alta., and an eastern branch with sales, rentals, parts and service in Saint-Hyacinthe, Que. Junttan provides superior customer service, support, parts and equipment sales with the same dedicated team to their valued customers in the Canadian market.

The new website (www.junttan.com/canada/) launched in early 2022, and includes all of the information previously found on CPDE’s website.

 

Aarsleff Ground Engineering invests in new plant workshop and training centre

Aarsleff Ground Engineering has upgraded and expanded its Newark, U.K., plant premises which accommodates the company’s extensive fleet of rigs, fabrication shop, training facility, machinery and equipment available to hire. Despite challenging and uncertainty during the pandemic, Aarsleff Ground Engineering has remained highly active, resulting in the decision to upgrade its premises.

The upgraded premises were officially launched in August 2021, following a 10 month build and renovation program. The facility expands storage space for equipment and a substantial area for repair and maintenance works, which includes a state-of-the-art painting booth for spraying and branding machinery. The expansion will provide additional full time employment opportunities for fitters, electricians, welders and apprentices.

The upgraded facility has two soundproofed, connected and purpose-built training rooms that will host courses for internal employees and external delegates.

Kevin Hague, Aarsleff’s managing director, said “The new facility represents our commitment towards the positive development of Aarsleff. Our never-ending desire to improve and innovate will be supported by this new hub.

“Our intention is to attract and support apprentices and industry talent, but it will also provide higher vocational training and in time, support new skills in ground engineering.”

 

Robit Plc strengthens management team

Robit Plc has appointed the following key persons of the company as the new management team members as of Jan. 26, 2022:

  • George Apostolopoulos, VP global sales
  • Adam Baker, VP down the hole
  • Jorge Leal, VP top hammer
  • Ville Pohja, VP geotechnical

 

Group CFO Arto Halonen, Group CE, Tommi Lehtonen and HR Director Jaana Rinne remain as the management team members.

Group CEO, Tommi Lehtonen said, “Robit Plc strengthens its management team by appointing the directors of the strategic business areas, as well as the director of global sales as the new management team members. The strengthened management team supports further the implementation of the strategy towards the company’s long-term strategic targets.”
