Ryan Mining Inc. has taken delivery of its first Liebherr HS 8300.2 dragline. This acquisition not only marks the beginning of a strong partnership between Ryan Mining Inc. and Liebherr, but it notes an important milestone in Ryan Mining’s continued investment in high-performance mining equipment.

The dragline will be deployed at Ryan’s Star Quarries, operating with a 135-foot boom and a 12 cubic yards drag line bucket to support increasing mining requirements. Ryan Incorporated Mining is a heavy construction firm with extensive experience in site development and mining operations, and the addition of the Liebherr HS 8300.2 duty cycle crawler crane further strengthens the company’s operational capabilities and long-term fleet strategy.

“We chose the Liebherr HS 8300.2 because of its exceptional reliability and productivity, which perfectly match the demands of our growing operations at Star Quarries. This machine represents a major step forward for our team and reinforces our commitment to delivering high quality mining results efficiently,” said Marc Barnell, vice president of Ryan Mining Inc.

The HS 8300.2 duty cycle crawler crane is purpose built for heavy-duty applications. This powerful machine is designed for material handling and can be operated with dragline buckets or different grabs with enormous volume capacity. It also delivers outstanding power, efficiency and performance while prioritizing operator comfort, thus improving operator safety.

Advanced electronic control systems enable smooth, simultaneous movements and precise control, which are critical when handling large dragline buckets. To further increase performance, the machine can be equipped with the innovative hybrid drive Pactronic®. This increases the turnover performance significantly and reduces fuel consumption at the same time.
