Know of someone whose contribution to consulting engineering has been truly extraordinary? It’s time to nominate them for the industry’s hallmark of excellence – the Beaubien Award.
Named in honour of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) founder James de Caspe Beaubien, Ph.D., this award recognizes individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact in the consulting engineering industry. What’s more, the winner is selected by a group of peers – the past chairs’ council and the ACEC board of directors.
Eligible individuals belong to existing or past member firms and have distinguished themselves as outstanding contributors to ACEC, either through their dedicated work within the association or by elevating the stature of consulting engineering through their accomplishments. Former presidents or chairs of the association, who’ve been out of that role for at least five years and ex-members of the ACEC board of directors, retired from the board for a minimum of three years, can also be nominated.
Submitting a nomination is simple. Anyone from a member firm can propose a candidate. No fancy forms – just a letter that shares the details of your nominee’s career highlights and why they’re a standout. Nominations can include up to 10 pages of additional content, such as a CV, media reports, awards, etc. The submission deadline is March 11.
