The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) is excited to announce that registration is now open for its 2026 Annual Conference, taking place March 10–13, 2026, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, Calif. As political and economic shifts continue to influence the Canada-U.S. relationship, this year’s conference offers an essential platform for Canadian construction leaders to exchange ideas, amplify Canadian priorities and reinforce cross-border collaboration.

The Honourable Jean Charest, former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and Premier of Québec, will close out the 2026 CCA Conference. In January, he was appointed to the Council on Canada-U.S. Relations launched by the Prime Minister of Canada. Charest is also a steering committee member of the private sector Canada US Trade Council to collaborate on tariffs and Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement issues. With his deep experience in both national and international politics, Charest will offer timely insights into trade, diplomacy and what the evolving Canada-U.S. dynamic means for our industry.

Why San Diego?

The CCA understands that the choice of location may raise questions. Canada and the U.S. are deeply connected in the construction sector, and despite political and trade challenges, maintaining open dialogue is more important than ever. The San Diego conference offers a strategic opportunity to represent Canadian interests and strengthen industry relationships during uncertain times.

The decision to hold the event in San Diego was made several years ago, as securing space and favourable rates requires long-term advance booking. Subsequent board discussions reaffirmed a shared commitment to ensuring a high-quality, secure environment for industry leadership, collaboration and dialogue.

The safety of members is the CCA’s top priority. That is why all conference programming, with the exception of our activity day, will take place at the hotel on Coronado Island. They will be closely monitoring travel and security advisories and have ongoing communication with local authorities, the hotel and event partners in San Diego.

The CCA developed a FAQ section on their website to support your travel planning, with links to resources on U.S. travel.
