Public Services and Procurement Canada awarded Dexter Construction Company Limited a $4.29-million contract to replace three existing floating dock systems and their associated pipe piles. The middle set of piles, which was replaced in 2018, will remain in place. New floating docks and pipe piles will be installed at the same location. The contract was awarded July 30 and runs through November 2026.

In a separate contract awarded June 17, Fisheries and Oceans Canada selected Connors Diving Services Limited for $1.27 million in rehabilitation work on the steel H-piles supporting Wharf 403. The work includes removing existing concrete encasements, completing above- and below-water concrete repairs, and installing stay-in-place fibre-reinforced polymer concrete jackets and underwater concrete around the existing piles.

The Wharf 403 rehabilitation contract runs through March 2027.
